Every second a miracle is transpiring all around you and within you.

If you happen to catch it, at that moment, all suffering will vanish.

One just went by. Did you catch it?

The next time someone yells at you, sure get defensive, but then thank your ears for being able to hear that person’s anger and their slew of judgments.

When you hear a loud noise that startles you, yes, first collect your bearings, but how great is it to be alerted to such changes in your environment?

If your neighbor is hosting a loud party, blasting obnoxious music, it’s ok to get annoyed but then make sure to bask in this precious gift of hearing.

Let’s face it, if you lost your hearing or went deaf, wouldn’t you welcome the most disrupting of commotions?

Wouldn’t the thought of getting into an argument with your spouse or partner be music to your ears?

The sounds of getting berated by someone would never sound so sweet.

And all the awful songs from those awful artists that you can’t stand… move over Beethoven.

When someone does something in front of you that makes you want to cringe, yes, go ahead and overt your eyes but at the same time, thank your vision.

When a friend, family member, or even a total stranger behaves badly, isn’t it such a gift to witness their personal unfolding right in front of your eyes?

If you see something on the news that scares you or read something that upsets you, who can blame you? But make sure to thank your eyes for being able to see those appalling images and read those frightening words.

Yes of course, when you see someone you don’t like, by all means, go ahead and get uncomfortable but pair it with a feeling of deep gratitude for your profound ability of sight.

If you lost part of your vision, became blind, or just merely thought you were going blind, wouldn’t the sheer thought of seeing someone who you can’t stand or that makes you uncomfortable be a beautiful sight to behold?
